Van Young
Van Young, 66, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at OSU Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1955, to the late Clyde Young and Donna Rae (VanWinkle) Young, who survives. He was a 1974 graduate of River View High School. He went on to further his education at The Ohio State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering. He worked as an engineer until his retirement. Recently, he was a substitute teacher at River View. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was a member of the AGS Fraternity, the Warsaw Lions Club, the Tiverton Grange and a longtime member of the Dutch Run Church.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his children, Mark (Jessica) Young of St. Pete Fl., Michael (Kendra) Young of Millersburg and Melissa (Andrew) Haney of St. Pete Fl.; grandchildren, Ethan, Blaine, Brynn, Ali, Gigi, Lucas, Christian and Gabriel; siblings, Vic (Diana) Young, Neal (Ammie) Young, Nelvin (Carey) Young and Michelle (Jerry) Thomas; aunt, Ruth Parker; cousin, Wayne Young and nephew, Jaden Thomas; as well as several other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Dutch Run Church, 29350 CR 20, Warsaw, Ohio at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the River View Community Park at 236 Park Dr. Warsaw, OH 43844. The Miller-Kaser Cremation Services will be assisting the family.
