The Ridgewood High School Drama Class will present “Stone Soup” this Thursday at 7 p.m.
“Stone Soup” is a family-friendly tale that tells the story of two knights who have vanquished a pair of dragons who have been terrorizing a local town. When they arrive in the town of Whisker, they are instant celebrities. However, Lillian Scum comes up with a plan to trick the townspeople into believing that her silly son Rafferty defeated the dragons instead. Her other son, Rocky, an aspiring chef, helps the knights expose his mother’s ridiculous scam. He helps the knights cook up a pot of that old favorite dish – Stone Soup.
In the course of this one-act play, the knights and Rocky teach us all that it doesn’t matter who you are, anyone can be anything that they want. With a little hard work and some friends along the way, a person can achieve anything.
Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
Keeley Carter (senior) and Brenna Hoffman (senior) star as the knights Sir Lou and Sir Charlie and Andrew Clantz (senior) plays Rocky Scum. Deakkon Williamson (senior) plays the daft imposter Rafferty Scum and Mattalyn Kiser (junior) plays his scheming mother, Lillian Scum.
