WIC will present Bloom With WIC event
Coshocton County WIC will present Bloom With WIC at the Coshocton County Community Room on Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 1-3 p.m.
Coshocton County WIC proudly presents Bloom With WIC for its annual community shower event. Bloom With WIC, previously known as the Baby Expo, will feature more than 20 different community vendors with giveaways, door prizes, food, and more. This event is open to the public, more specifically for families with young children, pregnant/breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5.
The event will be held at the Coshocton County Community Room located at 637 Chestnut St. Registration for this event is not required, and there will be no cost for admission at the door. This event is free for all community members. Parking is available in front of the Coshocton Public Health District, and across the street behind the old EMS building and beside the First Baptist Church.
Kristin Lawrence, breastfeeding peer helper, has taken on the role of planning this event. “I love that I get to provide support to our participating moms,” she said. “Breastfeeding or not, being a parent is hard work. I am so excited to host this fun event, Bloom with WIC, to celebrate parenthood with our Coshocton families and community partners. I cannot wait to see you all there.”
The Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) provides nutrition education, healthy foods, breastfeeding support, and healthcare referrals for income eligible pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, non-breastfeeding and bereaved mothers up to six months post-partum, and infants/children up to age 5.
Coshocton Regional Medical Center’s sponsorship helps make the Bloom With WIC event possible.
