2 charged after traffic stop

On March 27 at approximately 11:27 a.m. Detective Tyler Mann of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of South Seventh Street in the City of Coshocton due to a traffic infraction and window tint.

Detective Jeremy Johnson of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene and conducted an open-air sniff with his K-9 partner Rip. K9-Rip gave a positive alert on the vehicle. Suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. Three males and one female were taken into custody without incident.

A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and executed this same day. As a result of the search warrant, a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl was located in a hidden compartment of the vehicle along with a firearm.

On March 28, 42-year-old William D. L. Wright of Coshocton was formally charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree. Thirty-seven-year-old Sarah M. Green of Coshocton, was formally charged with aggravated possession drugs, a felony of the second degree.

Assisting with the investigation is the Coshocton County Prosecutors Office.
