2 hurt in motorcycle crash

On June 6, 2020 at approximately 2:06 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries in the area of 33799 SR 541.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that 50-year-old Edward Smith of Springfield, Ohio, and his passenger Pamela Smith (59) of Springfield, Ohio, had been riding their 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  They were traveling eastbound on SR 541 when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway and rolled the motorcycle over ejecting both. Neither were wearing a helmet.

Mr. Smith was treated at the scene and Mrs. Smith was flown from the scene by Med Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Assisting at the scene was Walhonding Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS and Med Flight. This incident remains under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
