On April 8, 2021 at 2:28 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a possible accident with injuries at the intersection of SR 16 and Franklin Township Road 279.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, both drivers were check by EMS and no injuries were found. After the initial investigation by deputies it was determined that a 2015 Ford, being operated by a 67-year-old Newcomerstown woman, Shelley Stropparo, was traveling East on SR. 16 behind a 1992 Ford logging truck, being operated by a 62-year-old Coshocton man, Michael Boals.

Boals was attempting to make a wide turn right onto TR 279 when Stropparo, who thought he was turning left, passed Boals on the right, causing the logging truck to strike the car which then struck the guardrail.

Assisting deputies at the scene was Coshocton County EMS and the Conesville Fire Department.
