2-vehicle accident reported in Oxford Township

On Dec. 16, 2021 at approximately 4:52 p.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a two-vehicle accident with injury in the 56000 block of County Road 9 in Oxford Township.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel, it was determined that a juvenile was traveling East on County Road 9, attempting to turn left into a private driveway, when they failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The juvenile’s vehicle then overturned coming to a rest on its top. The vehicle traveling west was driven by Tristen Durr, 25 years old, of Newcomerstown. Tristen had one other passenger in his vehicle identified as Jarrett Durr, 19 years old, of Newcomerstown. All three individuals involved were treated and released while on scene.  The juvenile was cited for failing to yield, while turning left.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene was the West Lafayette Police Department, Coshocton County EMS, West Lafayette Fire Department, REACT, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
