2-vehicle accident reported on South Second

On March 7, 2022 at approximately 7:04 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising of a two-vehicle accident with possible injuries in the 900 block of South Second Street.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that Penny West (60) of Warsaw was traveling southbound on South Second Street in a 2015 Buick. Annie Hazlett (36) of West Lafayette was driving her 2011 Toyota and was traveling southbound behind the West vehicle.  The West vehicle had stopped and the Hazlett vehicle did not get stopped in time and struck the rear of the West vehicle. Penny West only had complaint type injuries and did not get transported. Hazlett was cited for assured clear distance.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene was Coshocton County EMS and Coshocton Fire Department.
