2-vehicle accident with injuries reported

On March 9th, 2021 at 2:44 p.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Main St. and N. 2nd St.

Upon arrival of Deputies it was determined that a 2016 Nissan, being operated by a 58-year-old West Lafayette woman, Karen Maloy, had just started moving through the traffic light on Main St. at 2nd St. when a 2006 Chevrolet, being operated by a 52-year-old Coshocton woman, Andrea Finton, ran the red light and struck Maloy. A 27-year old West Lafayette man, Christopher Maloy, was a passenger in Maloy’s vehicle and sustained injuries from the accident.

He was treated at the scene by EMS and was later transported to the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. Finton was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Assisting deputies at the scene was Coshocton County EMS, the Coshocton City Fire Department and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
