| April 17, 2014

COSHOCTON – Those who fought cancer and the caregivers that stood by their side were invited to enjoy a night of good food and entertainment provided by the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.

The annual survivors dinner was held April 14 at Lake Park Pavilion. The dinner was provided by Keene United Methodist Church and the Chestnut Ridge Band entertained those in attendance.

Steve Gillis from the American Cancer Society shared with the crowd that he is very excited to be working with Coshocton County’s Relay for Life this year.

“The community really seems to come together and do an amazing job of supporting Relay for Life,” he said.

Relay for Life will be held May 16-17, at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
