24-year-old killed in crash

COSHOCTON – On Sept. 10, at approximately 11:59 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident with injuries.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that Alex M. Caley, 24, from Coshocton was driving a 2010 Mazda 6 westbound on US 36 just west of TR 509. The vehicle then lost control and went off the right side of the roadway and struck a couple of trees. Caley was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coshocton County Corner Dr. Robert Gwinn. The vehicle’s speed is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident.

Assisting at the scene was the West Lafayette Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, REACT and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This accident remains under investigation.
