3-vehicle accident with injuries reported

On Feb. 12, 2021 at approximately 9:36 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a three-vehicle accident with injuries in the area of SR 16 and SR 83.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that Jonathon Weller (36) of Coshocton was driving his 1999 Dodge 2500 truck eastbound on SR 16 just west of SR 83. Weller went left of center and struck Floyd Angle (64) of West Lafayette in his 2014 Ford Escape head on. Both vehicles separated and the Angle vehicle went off the right side of the roadway. The Weller vehicle continued left of center and struck Tom Heim (60) from Westlake, driving his 2015 Dodge 1500 truck. Both of these vehicles then went off the right side of the roadway as well. Angle and his passenger Linda Angle (68) of West Lafayette were transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Heim and his passenger Sandy Heim (60) from Westlake were not injured.    Weller was also not injured in the accident either. Everyone was wearing their seat belts inside the vehicles.

Assisting at the scene was Coshocton City Fire Department, Jackson Twp. Fire, Coshocton County EMS, REACT and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This incident is still under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
