30th annual NWTF banquet deadline approaching
COSHOCTON – The deadline to purchase tickets or to help sponsor the 30th annual Muskingum Valley Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation Hunting Heritage Banquet is fast approaching. The event will be held Saturday evening, March 2 at the Lake Park Pavilion in Coshocton with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m.
The banquet is hailed across the state of Ohio and region as the premier NWTF event with the funds raised benefitting the local chapter of the NWTF, in particular, holding a JAKES day program where youngsters are given the opportunity to learn safe handling of firearms and archery equipment with seminars about turkey hunting. Attendance last year was 310 and Dwaine Scheetz, banquet chairman / treasurer for the Muskingum Valley Chapter of the NWTF, says that this year’s banquet will once again be an event that you won’t want to miss. Due to last year’s success, a Jakes Scholarship was awarded to Chenelle Robinson and the chapter was able to assist the New Life Ministry with a monetary donation to help provide for those in our area less fortunate.
Ticket sales are limited to the first 350, all tickets must be prepaid and all seats other than VIP tables will be first come when the doors open at 4:30 p.m. There are several options available for individuals or groups to purchase tickets.
There are several levels of sponsorship and participation available and start for as little as $100.
