4-H members earn scholarships

The Coshocton County 4-H Endowment Committee recently awarded scholarships to four area seniors who have excelled in leadership in their club, the county and at the state and national level.

Lindsey Ashcraft from River View High School is the daughter of Rob and Angie Ashcraft of Coshocton. She is a member of Millfork Valley 4-H Club, and will attend Ohio Wesleyan University to major in biology and pre-medicine with a minor in Spanish.

Logan Smith from Ridgewood High School is the son of Thomas and Tammy Smith of West Lafayette. He is a member of the Go-Getters 4-H Club and will be attending The Ohio State University to major in animal science to become a feed nutritionist.

Brett Kinzel from River View High School is the daughter of Andy and Missy Kinzel of Walhonding, and a member of Mohawk Valley 4-H Club. Brett will attend The Ohio State University, Newark Campus, and major in communications.

Catelyn Cox from Philo High School is the daughter of Brian and Amanda Cox of Duncan Falls and a member of the Mohawk Valley 4-H Club. Catelyn will attend Ohio University in Athens to major in restaurant, hotel, and tourism with minors in business administration and French.
