Speed considered factor in April 26 accident

On April 26, 2021, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an injury accident in the 15000 block of County Road 429 in Franklin Township.

Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that a full-size Chevy pickup driven by Megan Conklin, 34 years old, from Coshocton was traveling south on County Road 429 when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected.  This vehicle then went off the left side of the roadway striking a street sign before going into a creek and overturning. Scott Dawson II, 33 years old, of Coshocton was a passenger of the vehicle. Dawson was treated and released on scene by EMS. Conklin was transported by emergency squad to Coshocton Regional Medical Center for the extent of her injuries.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene include the Coshocton County EMS, Conesville Fire Department, and Prince’s Wrecker Service. This incident remains under investigation at this time. Speed is considered to be a factor in this crash.
