One Block at a Time returns to Coshocton
Our Town Coshocton is committed to promoting Coshocton and working together so that everyone can see the beauty in our community. Each month, May through October, OTC and volunteers will be thoroughly cleaning one block of Main Street.
The first day will be Saturday, May 15 and volunteers should meet at the gazebo on the court square at 9 a.m. Our Town Coshocton has also adopted Main Street as part of the city administration’s Adopt a Street Program. Besides cleaning the specified block, several volunteers will be sweeping and gathering trash along both sides of Main Street.
Lanny Spaulding, OTC executive director, said, “There has been a renewed emphasis on keeping our city clean from the administration and OTC is committed to this effort. In the spirit of keeping Coshocton beautiful, we would also encourage community members interested in adopting their own street to reach out to Jeff Corder at the city hall.”
“Whether it be a new business opening or restoration project it is safe to say Main Street is very much alive. While we could not be more pleased with the current excitement generated around our downtown, we cannot take our eye off the ball in making our city as inviting and beautiful as we possibly can.”
The dates for the One Block at a Time clean ups are May 15, June 19, July 10, Aug. 21, Sept. 18, and Oct. 9.
Our Town Coshocton is always looking for new volunteers. Anyone interested can sign up on the OTC Facebook page or can email Spaulding at otc.execdirector@gmail.com.
