Taylor Douglas Ugie

| May 13, 2021

Taylor Douglas Ugie, 29, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his residence.

He was born May 16, 1991 in Zanesville to Richard Douglas “Doug” and Judy Ann Ugie. Taylor lost his long and difficult battle with addiction. Many were praying for him, lifting him up, encouraging him, but addiction is a demon that never stops tormenting day and night.

Taylor was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. His devoted friendship is what pushed him to lead friends into recovery programs. Even while he struggled, he wanted others to succeed. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was intelligent and an amazing artist.

Surviving are his parents, Doug & Judy Ugie; his brother, Joshua (Kelly) Ward; his nephew, Aaron Ward; nieces, Emma and Anna Ward; grandparents, Mary Chaney and Richard & Nancy Ugie; his aunts, Donna (Mike) Reynolds and Lesha (Robin) Barnhart; his cousins, Kris (Ally) Barnhart and Whitney Barnhart, with whom he always shared a special bond; and numerous 2nd and 3rd cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Chaney; great-grandparents, Bud & Erma Hamby, and Floyd & Leota Stagmyer; and numerous great aunts and uncles.

Our wish is that you would pray for all who face a battle they are struggling to conquer. We ask that you would not consider this a life wasted on addiction, but remember that a life is never wasted when love lives on.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Dave Hessler officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to service time. Taylor’s family asks that all guests please comply with mask mandates and social distancing measures for the health & safety of all involved.
