Career center students compete at national competition

On May 8, Christopher Courtright, Ryan Garber, Dallas Turnbull and Tessa Gibson from the CSI program at the Coshocton County Career Center received recognition for their participation at the BPA (Business Professional of America) National Competition that was held virtually from April 26-30 due to COVID-19 restrictions. These students earned a chance to compete at the National level by finishing in the Top 10 of their competitive events at the State Level.

Coshocton’s students competed against students from across the United States in career technical education classes such as business management, information technology, finance, marketing and office administration.

CSI students were awarded the following places for their work at the National level of the BPA competition: Christopher Courtright placed 40th out of 100 in fundamental spreadsheet applications; Ryan Garber placed 44th out of 91 in basic office systems and procedures; Dallas Turnbull placed 17th out of 73 in advanced office systems and procedures; and Tessa Gibson placed 20th out of 92 in advanced word processing.
