Tri-Valley baseball’s Trevor Yoder signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his athletic and academic career this fall at Walsh University in North Canton.

Yoder was the starting catcher his senior year at TVHS, helping the Scotties to a solid 17-9 overall record, a sectional title win over Carrollton and a district semi-final win over Indian Valley. Yoder batted .319 for the 2021 season, with a home run and 17 RBI, and scored 20 runs. He also earned 2nd Team All-East District honors, as well as Special Mention laurels on the All-Muskingum Valley League team.

Yoder will be an education major at Walsh, following in the footsteps of his mother Donna – a Walsh University graduate – who majored in education. The NCAA Division II Cavaliers have competed athletically since 2017 in the 12-team Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), with the baseball team finishing runner-up for the second straight year to league champ University of Findlay.
