Ronald Allen Carns

Ronald Allen Carns, 80, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. He was born in Coshocton on Dec. 18, 1940 to the late Forrest and Ruth (Ross) Carns.

Ron joined the United States Navy serving from 1958 to 1961 and then on July 10, 1963, he married Joyce (Miller) Carns who survives.

He worked at AK Steel for 32 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, woodworking, and was quite the artist. He was a HAM radio operator and ARES group member. Ronald was a former member of First Church of Christ.

Along with his wife, Joyce, Ron is survived by his two children, Angela (Francis) Rabatin of Akron, Ohio, and Chris (Katrina) Carns of Hicksville, Ohio;  four grandchildren, Nicholas (Bridget) Rabatin, Michael Rabatin, Joshua Carns and Autumn Carns; sister Marilyn Derby of Coshocton, brother, LaVallin Carns of Byesville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Per Ron’s wishes, a cremation will take place. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
