Betty J. Pipes
Betty J. Pipes, 86, of Fresno went to be with Jesus on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Truman Hospice House in New Philadelphia. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on April 22, 1935, to the late Harold G. McDaniel and Edith (Knox) McDaniel Galloway.
Betty married Don McCrackin in 1953 and they had three children together, Debbie (Gary) Rantz of Fresno, Tammy Meighen of West Lafayette, and the late Patrick McCrackin of Tallmadge, who passed away Jan. 26, 2021. In 1977 Betty married Gene Pipes and they have lived in Fresno, for 43 years together. Betty worked at Andy’s Restaurant and Thomas’ Steak House. She loved decorating, crafting, and painting. Over the years she had several crafting shops throughout the area. One of her favorite things to do was going on rides to the Amish Country and discover new shops and restaurants. She was known for her loving kindness and had a heart of gold; she would do anything for you. Betty was a giving person and loved her family more than anything. She will always be known for her quick laugh and giggles.
Along with her two daughters and husband, Betty is survived by her stepdaughter, DeAnna Pipes of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Ryan (Nicole) Rantz of Coshocton. and Aaron Meighen of New Albany, OH; and seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and first husband she is preceded in death by her son Patrick McCrackin and her siblings James McDaniel and Jean Miller.
Betty was loved deeply by her husband, Gene, and her children. Words cannot express the sadness they feel over losing her. We know that Jesus will love her and keep her from all of the pain.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday June 25, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm with a memorial service beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Lisa Elliott officiating. An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
