James Michael Richard, 37, died Monday, July 19, 2021 at his residence.

He was born Sept. 15, 1983 in Mt. Vernon. He was a 2002 graduate of River View High School, and a member of the Coshocton Eagles.

James loved to cook, and enjoyed football & baseball, particularly the Buckeyes. He didn’t know a stranger, and kids especially loved him and always seemed drawn to his fun-loving nature.

He is survived by his father, Jim Richard of Coshocton; mother, Kerry (Keith) Shriver of Fresno; two sons, Jaydix Richard of Kansas, and Holden Shearn of Fresno; two sisters, Terra (Jeff) Grewell of Coshocton, and Colleen (Justin) Burrier of West Lafayette; a brother, John (Allison) Richard of Zanesville; a grandfather, John Richard of Walhonding; nieces & nephews, Lily & Dominic Grewell, Olivia Harding, Brayson & Kaislee Burrier, and Emma Richard; and several aunts, uncles, & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara Haines, Allen & Barbara Poorman, and Dorothy Richard; and step-grandparents, Charles & Helen Shriver.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Neal Dearyan officiating. Military honors will follow, performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral Home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
