Donald Keith “Jake” Andrews

Donald Keith “Jake” Andrews, 83, of Coshocton passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the Truman Hospice House in New Philadelphia, Ohio after battling a short illness.

Jake was born in Coshocton, Ohio on May 2, 1938 to the late Frederick James and Lucille Pauline (Dunlap) Andrews. Also preceding him in death, were Linda Lou (McCormick) Andrews, his first wife, half-brother Jerome E. Andrews and sister, Jean (Andrews) Farrar.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Toni Lynn (Wilson) Andrews; children Karl James “KJ” and Jennifer Andrews and Michael Keith “Mike” and Kayley Andrews both of Coshocton; step daughter Candace Wilson -Shroyer and Eric of McDonald, PA; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, many of Coshocton, Warsaw, McDonald, PA and Winer Park, FL.

Jake graduated in 1956 from Coshocton high School. He enlisted in the United States Navy on September 25, 1956 and served honorably until August 8, 1960. He retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #495 in 1999.

Upon retiring Jake continued his enthusiasm and love for NASCAR racing, tractor pulls, boating, fishing, carpentry, motorcycles, traveling and showing cameo trucks throughout the country and meeting with the local breakfast and lunch crowds wherever he went.

Jake was a lifetime member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, Eagles Lodge #761, Moose Lodge #935, and the Warsaw Masonic Lodge.

Along with his entire family Jake held a deep affection for all canines, with special love for Australian Shepard’s.

Per Jakes wishes a cremation will take place and private services and burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date at Prairie Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Community hospice Truman Hospice House, 7616 Commercial Ave SW., New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 and/or the Coshocton Animal Shelter, 21755 TR 164, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.  The miller Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
