Earl Morris

Earl Morris, 91, of Coshocton passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 13, 1930, in Newcomerstown, Ohio to the late Russell and Ruth (Mincks) Morris Robinson. On July 5, 1965 he married Margaret (Welling) Morris.

Earl was a 1950 graduate of Coshocton High School and for many years he worked for Nelson, Davey, and Kuemmerling Tree Services. He also worked many years at Simco Peabody Coal as a heavy equipment operator before retiring. He was a member of the UMWA Local #1188.

Earl was an avid horseman, he loved riding, showing his saddle, and breeding horses. He loved being outdoors, football, basketball, western movies, country music, and being around his family and friends.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Along with his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his son Scott (Shelby) Morris of Coshocton; one very special grandson, Landon Morris of Coshocton; two half brothers and one half-sister; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Mary Louise West and Irene Fisher.

Per Earl’s wishes a cremation will take place and there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed toward Coshocton Interim Hospice and/or The Coshocton County Animal Shelter. The Miller Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
