Coshocton Regional Medical Center gives COVID-19 update
Coshocton Regional Medical Center is currently experiencing higher than usual volumes in the emergency department due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in the community. In addition to this higher volume, we are also working to secure additional staffing resources as we work through the nationwide shortage of healthcare personnel. This has resulted in longer than usual wait times for non-emergent emergency room visits.
We ask that patients use the emergency department for emergencies only and utilize the urgent care or primary care clinics for acute medical care. The urgent care is located at 406 S. 15th St. in Coshocton and can provide walk-in care for general illness and injury. Urgent care is open seven days-a-week, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The primary care providers can take same-day appointments at our Coshocton or Newcomerstown locations. Appointments can be made by calling 740-622-0332.
The hospital encourages the community to help us stop the spread of COVID-19 by masking, social distancing and getting vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available by calling 740-622-0332. Vaccinations are free of charge.
Coshocton Regional Medical Center remains committed to the continuing good health of our community. They continue to monitor the increase in COVID-19 cases nationwide and remain prepared to care for patients. If you feel you have symptoms of COVID-19, you are encouraged to call the nurse hotline at 740-623-4019 or visit urgent care located at 406 S. 15th St. in Coshocton.
