Mobile hotspots available at the Coshocton Public Library

| September 28, 2021

Mobile hotspots are now available to borrow from the Coshocton Public Library and West Lafayette Branch for adult cardholders. For those without a library card, a photo ID and proof of address are required to apply for a free card.

The hotspots are intended for those who would otherwise not have access to the Internet. The hotspots will provide free Wi-Fi in areas with Internet access capabilities.

Mobile hotspots may be checked out for up to two weeks. Renewals are not permitted. An acceptable use form must be read, understood, and signed by the borrower each time a hotspot is checked out.

To place a hotspot on hold, borrowers must have a Coshocton Public Library card or a visitor card if their card is from another library. Visitor cards may be obtained at the library after showing valid ID.

The library was awarded a grant of $10,951.92 from the federal Emergency Connectivity Fund to cover the cost of the mobile hotspots. In addition, the library was awarded a grant from the Coshocton Foundation of $654.12 to cover the cost of the cases to circulate the hotspots.
