The County Board of Commissioners announce they have been awarded  $1,250,000 in grant funds from the Ohio Development Services Agency Office of Community Development through the competitive Neighborhood Revitalization and Critical Infrastructure programs.

The Village of West Lafayette has been awarded a Neighborhood Revitalization grant totaling $750,000 to revitalize the village. The projects will include extensive parks/recreation improvements, street improvements, street lighting, parking facilities, and ADA accessibility improvements at the municipal building.

The Village of West Lafayette has also been awarded a Critical Infrastructure grant ($500,000) to replace failing storm sewer. The improvements will replace a collapsed section of storm sewer, replace failing catch basins, and add catch basins; the improvements will lower the storm sewer in order to drain areas that currently have no drainage.

The projected start date of the projects is summer of 2022.
