Sheriff’s office makes promotions
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office recently announced new positions in the road division. The position was posted in order to hire prospected field training officers in which road deputies could potentially be promoted to the rank of corporal. The sheriff’s office currently has promoted four road deputies for the position of corporal on each shift, Morgan Landis, Robert Hill, Tucker Hill, and Albert Havranek. This program was established and implemented this past month, with goals to better assist new hires in their day to day training and to increase overall knowledge amongst all shifts. These promotions fall in line with the goals and visions to better serve the community in the present and in the future.
Corporal Landis: Morgan Landis has been serving in public safety since 2010 and with the sheriff’s office since 2014. Corporal Landis will use his experience and training in the fire service and EMS to add to the current training program and teach interoperability.
Corporal R. Hill: Robert “Buddy” Hill has been serving with the sheriff’s office since 2017. Corporal Hill will use his military experience, leadership and training to add to the current training program.
Corporal T. Hill: Tucker Hill has been serving the community since August 2019. Corporal Hill has demonstrated his ability to see the bigger picture when he has been in charge and shows great promise for leadership.
Corporal Havranek: Albert Havranek has been serving in law enforcement since 2004 and with the sheriff’s office since 2006. Corporal Havranek will use his years of experience to add to the current training program.
