Enjoy a scholarly chat with Dr. Scott Butler

Come to the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. for a scholarly chat with Dr. Scott Butler titled “Twelve Significant People on the Coshocton Frontier.” Dr. Butler is a man of research with a PhD in Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics, specializing in atomic physics, and a professional career in structured finance applied to corporate real estate. Dr. Butler will discuss the efforts of 12 people that dominated Coshocton frontier history in the 18th century and why they are so important to our local history. At the conclusion of the chat, the winners of the 2021 Mary Harris Prizes essay contest will be announced and awards will be presented.

Masks will be required to attend. Admission to the chat is $4 for adults, $3 for students, and free admission for Friends of the Museum members.

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. The Ohio Arts Council also helped fund this event with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence, and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Every Sunday offers free admission to Coshocton County residents.
