Phyllis June Phelps

Phyllis June Phelps, 64, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Orange County, CA on April 22, 1957 to the late Harlan “Ootz” and Florence (Sampsel) Richesson.

Phyllis was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church, treasurer for the AMVETS Auxiliary, was an EMT for the Coshocton County EMS for 30 years and worked as an executive assistant at MFM Manufacturing for 41 years before retiring.  She also enjoyed camping, sewing, crafting, bowling, and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 38 years, Rick Phelps; daughter Tia (Brian) Bookless of Coshocton; grandchildren Shiana, Cassidi, and Cortney Bookless, Caden Matthews, and Brendan Allman; nephew Chad (Randy Rust) McMullen; great nieces Paige (Cory) Meeks and Jade (Mitchell Irwin) McMullen; and great great nieces and nephews Ruger and Bailey Meeks and Cyrus Irwin.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her stepmother Ruth Richesson; sister Denise Grewell, and step daughter Jodi Dickerson.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral service.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00am with Pastor Bob Wright officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
