Ruth Florence Greene
Ruth Florence Greene, 97, of Dresden, died Friday evening, Nov. 12, 2021, at Altercare Zanesville.
Born Sept. 29, 1924, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward and Mae (Weiss) Karl. Ruth graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University in 1974, and worked for Coshocton County Children Services and was a teacher at Head Start. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Michael Greene of Dresden and a granddaughter, Ericka (Nihar Shah) Greene of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo L. Greene who she married on Aug. 15, 1946 and who died May 21, 1990; a daughter, Kathleen Greene.
No services will be held at this time. The family is being assisted by the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute, 714 Main St.
