Woodbury Wildlife Area receives state funding

| November 23, 2021

State officials announced that the Woodbury Wildlife Area located in Coshocton, will receive $1,825,000 for the decommissioning of four dams.

The wildlife area consists of 19,252 acres of reclaimed land that is used for fishing, hunting, birding, camping, trapping and a shooting range.

The four dams no longer meet the required safety standards and rehabilitation projects are not feasible given the current state of the four dams.

“I am delighted to see state funds being allocated to help maintain the Woodbury Wildlife Area for generations to come,” said State Representative Kevin Miller. “This project will help provide for a safe environment for all of those who enjoy the wildlife area.”
