MVHC opens school-based health center

| January 18, 2022

Muskingum Valley Health Centers (MVHC) has partnered with Coshocton City Schools (CCS) to provide a school-based health center located on the campus of CCS at Coshocton High School.

This health center will provide complete healthcare and behavioral health services prior to, during, and after school hours. Parental consent will be required. In the future, the health center will also provide care to the community after school hours by appointment only. The health center will operate Monday-Friday and opened Jan. 18.

MVHC offers a school health program centered on providing comprehensive primary care services including pediatric, adolescent, and behavioral health care. This community-based model of care is designed to provide affordable, age-appropriate, confidential, convenient care to students and staff. MVHC medical staff and providers will treat illness, as well as providing preventative care and well-child services.

Questions can be directed to Superintendent Dave Hire at the CCS District Office at 740-622-1901 and/or school nurse Laura Roberts at 740-622-5514.
