CHS girls swim to third place

The Janet Jones Mulligan Natatorium hosted The River View Swimming Invite on Jan. 22. Overall the CHS girls team finished third and the boys team finished ninth. The combined teams scores finished seventh out of the 17 teams that competed.

Scoring points individually for the CHS girls were Sophia McFadden – fourth 50 Free (31.12) and fourth 100 free (1:12.03). Chloe Hall – 11th 50 Free (33.16) and seventh 100 free (1:15.52). Gabriella Wesney – sixth 100 Fly (1:31.41) and sixth 100 Free (1:15.15). Autumn Jones – third 100 Back (1:21.96), Cady Jackson – ninth 100 Back (1:32.44), Ella Baylor – second 100 Breast (1:32.38), and Ella Duling – 10th 100 Breast (1:47.10).

The CHS girls 200 Medley Relay consisting of Autumn Jones, Ella Baylor, Gabriella Wesney, and Chloe Hall, finished third (2:28.98). The 200 Free Relay of Ella Baylor, Autumn Jones, Chloe Hall, Sophia McFadden finished third (2:10.41). The 400 free relay of Gabriella Wesney, Autumn Jones, Ella Baylor, and Sophia McFadden placed first (4:52.95).

Finishing overall individually for the CHS boys were Connor McCabe – sixth 50 Free (28.47) and seventh 100 Free  (1:06.01). Jayden Jones – fourth 100 Fly (1:14.73) and seventh 100 breast (1:30.64). To round out the boys Trip Mills placed 11th in the 100 Back (2:01.92).
