Dennis Schrock

Dennis Schrock, 68, of Kimbolton passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.  He was born in Dover, Ohio on September 28, 1953 to the late Owen D. and Elsie V.  (Yoder) Schrock.

Dennis graduated from Garaway High School in 1972 and worked for as a heavy equipment operator for 35 years for GEX Hardy Coal, Miller Mining, Brum Excavating and Oxford Mining. He was a member of the Living Faith Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, going fishing, talking about politics, taking care of cattle, bush hogging, and running equipment.

Dennis is survived by his children Jody (Danette) Schrock of West Lafayette, Jeremy Schrock of Coshocton, and Julia (Jason) Basham of Kimbolton; grandchildren Dakota and Michael Schrock, Shelby (Ben) Jones and Vincent Basham; great grandchildren Maci, Berkleigh, Koralynn, and Miles; siblings Gloria (Robert) Leyda of Orrville, OH and Sheryl Schrock of New Philadelphia.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Leurina (Rogers) Schrock, who passed away August 22, 2021; daughter-in-law Vicki Schrock.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and one hour prior to funeral services at the church.  Funeral services will be held at the Living Faith Church of the Nazarene, 21066 SR 751, West Lafayette, Ohio 43845 on Wednesday, at 11:00am with Pastor Don Weaver officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards the Living Faith Church of the Nazarene; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  An online memorial is located at www.themillerfuneralhome.com.
