The United Way of Coshocton announced that Dr. Allie Reed has joined the board of control.

Dr. Allie and her husband, Evan, moved to Coshocton last year during the pandemic but neither were deterred in getting involved to be impactful citizens of Coshocton.

Dr. Allie received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Wright State University and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Allie and Evan, who was an ICU nurse at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center before taking on the roll as office manager, have gotten involved with New Pointe Church and Our Town Coshocton.

“I love the idea of making resources, like education and health, more accessible to those in the community who really need it. I would really enjoy helping with that in whatever way I can best serve United Way,” said Dr. Allie.

Both Allie and Evan love spending time outside, biking, hiking or running. Allie was able to complete a marathon and hike the John Muir Trail in California.

Board of control members are able to serve two consecutive three-year terms. If interested in serving on the United Way board and making a difference in Coshocton County, contact Lyn Mizer at 740-622-4567.
