Jerry E. Bowman
Jerry E. Bowman, 82, died Feb 3, 2022 in hospice care with his children by his side.
He was born July 12, 1939 in Coshocton, Ohio to Mary E. Mobley and Wilber D. Bowman. He graduated from Roscoe High School in 1957 and married his high school sweetheart, Donjean McKee June 10, 1962.
Jerry was a member of USWA Steelworkers Union, VFW, Am Vets, & Eagles. Jerry enjoyed attending the activities, performances, and sporting activities of his children & grandchildren with pride and spending time and many laughs with all of his family and lifelong friends.
Jerry was a proud US Navy Veteran. He retired from General Electric after 34 years. In retirement Jerry & and his wife Donna enjoyed their travels to Alaska, Bermuda, the Caribbean and Mexico along with other locations on several different cruises, as well as all the time spent making memories with family & friends.
Jerry is survived by his children Amy Perry; Brad (Trace) Bowman-Kingham; Blake (Cheri) Bowman; Mariann (Craig) Clarke. Grandchildren Jasmine (David) Mitchell; Nicholas and Donavan Bowman-Kingham; Miranda Bowman; Ashton, Couger, & Aubrie Clarke. Great-grandchildren Dorriane, Daniel, Tamar, Ezra Mitchell. Sister-in-law Peggy Bowman; Bradford Stepfamily Jim, Fred, Mary Beth, Sue, Sara, & Joyce and many other cherished in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family & special friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and step-parents Clarence Kohl, & Mary (Bradford) Kohl; Brother Mike Bowman; cherished in-laws, cousins, and many dear friends.
Services will be held to include graveside military guard at a later date to be determined.
Arrangements are with Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, OH. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Jerry’s memory to: Genesis Hospice Care (Morrison House) 713 Forrest Ave. Zanesville, OH 43701, and/or to the Coshocton County Handicapped Society 1005 Main Street Coshocton, OH 43812.
