Karla J. (Brawner) Ancona

Karla J. (Brawner) Ancona, 60, went to be with God’s family on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022.

She was born in Decatur, IL on Dec. 18, 1961 to Laveita Mae (Black) Reed and Charles  Brawner, who both preceded her in death.

Surviving are her husband, John V. Ancona, Jr.; her children, Aronn (Candis) Palmer, Christine (Shannon) Roberts, Paula Guthrie, Preston (Mallory) Palmer III, Charles (Leah) Palmer, Chad (Renee) Ancona, and Daniel (Tiffany) Ancona; her 16 grandchildren, Victoria and Avah Palmer, Kristin, Kyara, and JT Roberts, Nick Palmer, Joshua, Gavin, and Logan Guthrie, Audrey Palmer, Chad Jr., Vincent, Angelo, and Natalie Ancona, and Anthony and Lily Ancona; her siblings, Charles Brawner, Joyce Umfleet, Phil (Teresa) Brawner, Pam (Myron) Jack, and Linda Reed; many nieces and nephews; her fur grandbabies,  George, Hank, Chewy, Willie, and Flower; and her fur babies, Little One, Boots, and Mr. Marco.

Karla was a member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge #376 and the Alpine Resort, where she loved to play volleyball. She was a believer and had a kind heart. It was her wishes and in her words that you “Don’t cry from being sad – cry the happy tears of great memories and blessings that we have now! I love each and every one of you in my life. I’ll pop in to check on things!”

A viewing will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. A celebration of Karla’s life will follow at the Elks Lodge, 434 Chestnut St. Coshocton, 43812.
