Margaret Louise (Mitchell) Mickelson
Margaret Louise (Mitchell) Mickelson, 94, of Kemper House in Worthington, formerly of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. Louise was born in Cambridge, to the late John and Rose (Kirbawy) Mitchell.
On June 23, 1957, Louise married Robert “Bob” Mickelson who survives. She worked for the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum in Coshocton, giving tours for several years and worked as a library aide for the Coshocton school system.
Louise was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton where she served as a Deacon and participated with the Presbyterian Women’s Group for 50 years. She and her husband later attended the All Shepherds Lutheran Church in Lewis Center when they moved to the Columbus area.
She enjoyed playing Bridge, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends who adored her. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bob Mickelson; three children, Bev (Jeff) Ross of Dublin, Steve (Alison) Mickelson of Naperville, IL and Linda (Pete) Hores of Coshocton; seven grandchildren, Katie (Ty) Holdcroft, Mike (Kelley) Ross, Melissa Mickelson, Matt (Sarah) Ross, Julia Mickelson, Derek Mickelson (fiancé Serena Feehan) and Eric Hores; four great-grandchildren, Lena Holdcroft, Liam, Graham, and Jamie Ross; sister-in-law, Carole Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her four brothers, Ray, Bill, Ed and Dick Mitchell.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church in the Custer Chapel with Pastor Karen Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Kemper House as well as Capital City Hospice for the love and care they gave Louise.
