Beverly Jean ‘Bev’ Fischer

Beverly Jean “Bev” Fischer, 91, of Coshocton peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Bev was born in Fresno, on Oct. 29, 1930, to the late Fred and Evelyn (Galion) Barth. She graduated from Fresno High School and retired from the Peabody Coal Company. She was also employed at Parkhill Insurance, Peddicord Rice Auction Realty and the Pomerene Center for the Arts. Bev was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and served on the administrative board.

She was devoted Mom/Nana to her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she treasured every moment spent with her family. Bev loved to cook and was dedicated to sending cards to her family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sue Rosebrook of Marysville, Joni (Randy) Peddicord of Coshocton and Ann (Larry) Epperson of Quinlan, Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Blake) Havers, Lauren (Brian) Cook, Lindsey (Chad) Olinger, Kelsey (Ryan) Strieby, Logan and Landon Epperson; nine great-grandchildren, Nolan and Madison Cook, Wyatt Havers, Gracie, Annie and Cade Olinger, Will, Hudson and Grady Strieby; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee “Dick” Guthrie; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Richard Simmons; brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Marianne Barth; and son-in-law, Steve Rosebrook.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday, March 7, 2022, from noon to 1 p.m. where a memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. with Chad Olinger officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.
