All Paws on Deck Grooming is now open
Haley and Cody Vickers hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening April 5-6, for their new business All Paws on Deck Grooming.
Haley and Cody are excited to be opening a full-service dog grooming business in the area. “This is my first business venture. I have grown up around dogs and my love for animals started as a young child,” said Haley. “We are completely booked the entire first week and the second week is filling up very quickly. I have been in the pet industry dealing with dogs for the past 10 years in different endeavors and I noticed that there weren’t a lot of groomers.”
Haley grew up in Newcomerstown and became aware that most groomers were booked up or they didn’t do large dogs. “I saw a need for it,” she said. “I got an idea and went full force with it. Luckily, I found this building and here we are. We have full-service dog grooming. We have two groomers, a bather and a dog trainer. We do baths and de-shedding for both large and small breeds. We have the pet boutique offering many products from local businesses and we do nail trimming and nail painting, dog dyes and teeth brushing. We offer the ‘fun’ hair dye if you want to adorn your pooch for a holiday and other special occasions. De-shedding a dog is basically a removal of a dog’s loose undercoat hair. When you de-shed your dog, you’re helping them get rid of hair that will eventually end up on furniture and clothes. Regular grooming removes dead hair and distributes natural oil which keeps your pet’s coat and skin healthy.”
They also have a certified dog trainer that offers basic obedience, for example walking on a leash, obeying commands and everyday skills.

“One of our groomers has more than 20 years’ experience specializing in breed specific grooms and hair dyes if you want something special for a holiday or an occasion,” Haley said. “We also hope to add a cat groomer in the future. It’s on the radar.”
