William Jonathan (Bill) Ruse

William Jonathan (Bill) Ruse, 91, of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Coshocton, OH and Avon Park, FL, passed away on May 22, 2022, following a long battle with dementia.

Bill was born on Jan. 26, 1931, in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Pickerington High School and served in the U.S.A.F. during the Korean War. He worked at Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Co. (AEP) in Conesville for many years and retired from the Pickway Power Plant in 1986.

Bill loved to golf and you could catch him camping off of #11 hole at Hickory Flats almost every weekend.

Bill in survived by his wife, Ann (Huntwork Ellis); three children, Gary (Teri) Ruse, Jean (Dave) Taylor and Teresa (Mark) Ritz; step-children, Steve (Teri) Ellis, Greg Ellis and Phil Ellis; grandchildren, Nicholas (Erin) Taylor, Michael (Curtis) Aleshire, Stephanie Ruse, Amy (Joe) Davis; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his previous wife, Janet; his sister and her husband, Jim and Jean Fenstermaker; infant daughter, Patricia; granddaughter, Shanna DeWitt; infant twin grandsons, Timothy and Thomas Taylor; and step-daughter, Kimberly Piper.

A graveside service will be held in Violet Township Cemetery in Pickerington, Ohio on Thursday, June 9 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike Woods presiding and burial of cremains following the service.
