New principal hired at RVHS

The River View Local School District announced the hiring of Josh Branch as the new principal at River View High School. Branch is replacing Alan Keesee who will assume the principal position at Hillsdale High School on Aug. 1. 

“We are extremely excited to have Branch back at River View High School,” said Superintendent Chuck Rinkes. “He worked with me as an associate principal from 2013-17 leaving to become the principal at his alma mater, Newcomerstown High School.” 

Josh and his wife Julie (Haumschild) have a son, Tyler, and live outside of Warsaw.

Branch comes to RVHS after a five year stint as the principal at Newcomerstown High School. He entered administration as the Director of the Coshocton County Alternative School in 2012. Previous to that he was a physical education and health teacher at Newcomerstown High School where he coached football and  track. 

“As we go through reconfiguration, Mr. Branch will be an integral part of our transition team for the district,” Rinkes said. “We can’t wait to have him join the administration team and work through our summer administration book study and attend our transition meetings.”
