Carole Coleman
Carole Coleman, 88, of Coshocton passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on Feb. 17, 1934, to the late Charles and Berniece “Sally” (Helton) Robbins.
Carole graduated from New Rochelle High School, NY in 1952 and graduated from Averett College, Danville, PA in 1954. On Sept. 5, 1954, she married Aubrey B. Coleman, together they enjoyed traveling; they visited almost all 50 states. They especially enjoyed Myrtle Beach and Washington D.C. Carole was a member of Park United Methodist Church; it was a big part of her life. She was in the choir for approximately 15 years, taught Sunday School, Bible School and served on many committees. She loved going to church, bible study, being with her friends and family, searching the scripture, reading, doing puzzles, watching TCM, listening to good music and loved celebrating Easter and Christmas.
Carole is survived by her children, Diane (Vic) Young of Warsaw, Gail (Berlin) Barrett of Coshocton, Christopher A. Coleman of Warren County, OH, and Lisa (Duane) Green of West Lafayette; grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Warren, Jayanne (Josh) Zook, Jennifer (Shawn) Wolford, Jaclynn (Josh) Sullivan, Bill (Amy) Tumblin, Kristoffer (Charity) Hahn, Danielle Barrett, Justin (Carly) Murphy, Jami Calandros, Valerie (Chris) Johnson, Josh (Bethany) Young and Jandi Young; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey B. Coleman who passed away April 30, 1994; brothers, Charles “Sonny” Robbins and Keith Robbins; great-niece, Tae Marie Robbins; and special aunt, Melba Rusher.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Denny Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed towards St. Jude Children’s Hospital; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
