New business offers fishing adventures
Looking for outdoor fun? A new business in Coshocton County provided by Marcus Olinger brings a great fishing experience through scenery, boating and catching fish.
Three Rivers Outfitters offers an opportunity for a guided fishing trip on Coshocton County’s three rivers- the Muskingum, Tuscarawas and Walhonding rivers.
“Basically, it’s an opportunity to fish where not many others can. It’s a fun trip regardless of fishing conditions. It’s not bank fishing. Just come on my boat. I furnish all of the equipment. All fishing gear is provided. My jet-drive boat runs in inches of water where other boats can’t go,” Olinger said. “This is something I have always been interested in doing. So far, everyone has had a great time and caught fish. It’s been very enjoyable. I’m a teacher so I have summers off to do this.” Olinger is the new natural resources instructor at the Coshocton County Career Center.
Olinger’s goal is for clients to have a safe enjoyable time on the river and catch some fish with the right bait and be in the right place to find fish. The trips usually last four to eight hours. Olinger meets clients at the boat ramp on South Second Street across from the water treatment plant for a guided fishing trip for bass and or catfish.
Three Rivers is still booking Fishing Trips through September and October. Olinger offers an evening bass/catfish combo for four hours of bass fishing and four hours of catfishing or a family trip for up to six passengers that includes boat rides, fishing, and nature viewing such things as an eagle’s nest, island exploring and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
“If you have a trip idea, I can likely accommodate you,” Olinger said.
