Howard Michael “Mike” Lahna
Howard Michael “Mike” Lahna, age 71, of Plainfield, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Lafayette Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with his family by his side.
Mike was born on December 21, 1950, in Coshocton, to the late Howard “Hod” Lahna and the late Anne Jayne “Nancy” Lahna. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School in 1970.
Known as a hard worker, Mike spent over 40 years with Stone Container before retiring.
Mike’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, and he loved nothing better than to see them smile. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teasing his family members, and seeing old friends. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, enjoyed fast cars, and loved his horse, Foxy.
Mike is survived by his three children, Paul (Nettie) Lahna of Coshocton, Mary (Brent) Elmer of Grant, MI, and Wendy (Thomas) Timmons of Columbus; 12 grandchildren, Ashton, Jordan, Easton, Kelsie, Keja, Leland, Henry, Laney, Samuel, Isaah, Parker, and Ian; five siblings, Francis (Karen) Lahna, Thomas (Jill) Lahna, Christine (Mark) Johnston, Charlie Lahna and Kelly McNichols; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Along with his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Terry and infant brother, David.
Per Mike’s wishes, cremation will take place. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating, all held at The Miller Funeral Home in Coshocton.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mike’s name to Community Hospice of Coshocton; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
