Walter Ray Sharrock

Walter Ray Sharrock, age 71 of Coshocton, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1950 in Coshocton to the late Walter J. Sharrock and Merle (Windland) Snow.Walter graduated from Coshocton High School in 1967 and then joined the United States Navy from 1968 to 1971, serving his country proudly. He worked at Pretty Products for 32 years before they closed and then worked at Annin Flag Company for eight years before retiring.

Walter was a member of the American Legion; he enjoyed watching with The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians, tinkering in his garage, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two sons, Craig (Jericha) Sharrock and Kevin (Tasha) Sharrock both of Coshocton, seven grandchildren, Brayden, Jensen, Jerzee, Kenzleigh, Tynlee, Oaklee and Craig Jr. “CJ”; sister, Esther Royer, nephew, Mike Ziggler and many other nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Walter is preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ziggler.

Calling hours were held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home and then again on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 12:00 pm. Burial followed at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with the Coshocton County Veterans Council Honor Guard conducting military honors.
