Richard Fallon Alverson

Richard Fallon Alverson, 77, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at The Ohio State University East Hospital.

He was born May 5, 1945 in Coshocton to the late Raymond C. and Esther M. (Fallon) Alverson. He was a 1963 graduate of Sacred Heart High School, and later graduated from Beckley College in 1966 and East Tennessee State University in 1969. He was a lineman for Ohio Power / AEP until his retirement.

Richard was a devoted family man, an avid hunter, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (Guthrie) Alverson of Coshocton, whom he married Nov. 28, 1966; two daughters, Gina (Mark) Dolick of New Concord and Janelle (Stephen) Frischen of Coshocton; grandchildren, Brandon Dolick, Lauren (Jordan) Hutcheson, Kerrie (Tanner) Morton, and Clark Richard Frischen; one great-grandchild, Miah Morton, and one expected, Jaxson Morton; brother, John (Judy) Alverson of Coshocton; two sisters-in-law, Helene Alverson of Warsaw, and Myrtle (John) Clymer of Barnesville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Tom Alverson.

Calling hours were held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services with burial at Roscoe Cemetery will take place privately. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
