Home invasion reported

On Oct. 26, 2022 at approximately 2:11 a.m. the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a home invasion in the 600 block of Wilson Avenue in the City of Coshocton.

Dispatch was advised by the caller that two males forced entry into the residence, and upon entry fired a weapon toward the resident inside. One resident that resides at this address was able to exit the home and get to a nearby neighbor’s residence where they called 911. Upon arrival of deputies, the home was cleared as the suspects had fled on foot prior to arrival.

The resident of the home was not injured by gun fire during the altercation. The sheriff’s office K-9 division was called to the scene of the incident to assist.  This incident remains under investigation at this time. If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, please contact the sheriff’s office as soon as possible.
