Coshocton County Honor Guard dinner held

Coshocton County Honor Guard members met at the Coshocton Elks on Nov. 18 for their annual participation dinner with 64 people in attendance. Gary Kilpatrick began the dinner with the innovation and Jack Patterson was the emcee for the program.

Five members were presented certificates for reaching military funeral milestones. They were Rick Cullison 300; Tom Dile 900; Darryl Jensen 700; Gary Kilpatrick 700; and Dean Leas 400.

During 2021 members participated in 60 military funerals and as of Sept. 30, there have been 52 military funerals.

Patterson acknowledged and thanked Zac Miller for his six years of service in the veterans service office. He also recognized the local Blue Star Mothers for purchasing new raincoats, winter gloves and paying for meals after each funeral at the AMVETS Post #36. Also, present and thanked were staff from Given-Dawson-Paisley, Fischer, Free and Miller funeral homes.
